Working together to prevent suicide

Today the Australian Bureau of Statistics released that 3128 people took their own lives in Australia in 2017. That’s an increase of 9.1% from 2016. This needs to change.

You don’t have to be a mental health professional to ask if someone is thinking about suicide. By working together and talking openly about suicide, we can support our loved ones, friends and work colleagues to find their way back to living.

If you’re thinking about suicide – and live in Australia – reach out and take action to get the support you need. If you need advice or want to talk things through, you can contact LifeLine on 13 11 14, the Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467 or the 42576316_10156662810683607_2380821674934140928_o on 1300 22 4636.
