You know i hate to ask, but…. What is depression?

Absence of the ability to feel pleasure & is a typical symptom of depression; Often runs in families; Biological – low serotonin levels; People who stay active are less likely to get depressed; affects family, work/school life, sleeping, eating habits & health generally; some have co-morbid anxiety disorders; symptoms include: depressed or irritable mood, poor concentration, insomnia, changes in appetite, loss of interest; thought to be anger turned inwards; it is a disease – it is not being lazy & people just cannot “get over it”;

It is thought that approximately 65% of depressed people also complain of pain
