How alcohol dependence can affect people

As a result of their alcohol dependence, people can:
– isolate themselves from others
– avoid recreational and social activities
– have relationship issues
– can jeopardise their employment
– turn to other illicit substances
– have legal issues
[therefore, a biopsychosocial approach is necessary to provide the appropriate treatment]
