– Keep an open mind (Attitudes can change with experience and success)
– It is a rights and responsibilities method
– It is similar to teaching methods employed at schools
– One simple rule: if what you are doing works, do more of the same; If not, change.
– Helps parents think about what they are doing/how they interact with their children
– Helps parents be consistent
– Runs on the fuel of good positive talk and communication between parents and children
